Matt Larke

Bio

Matt is a Michigan native, born in Royal Oak. He played his youth hockey with Honeybaked AAA all the way until he entered juniors, then played in the NAHL and the USHL before eight years of professional hockey in the CHL, ECHL and EIHL.

After retiring, he stayed in the game by starting his career in skill development, hired by Brandon Naurato. The two have worked together for seven years, in the summer and throughout the year. Matt specializes in skating mechanics, blends, edges and perfecting the stride, and through his business, Skate to Create LLC, he has worked with players from youth all the way up to the NHL.

He has served as the Skill Development Coach for the Flint Firebirds of the OHL and the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL. Before joining the Seattle Kraken, where he is currently the skills coach, Larke was the skills coach for the US National Team Development Program (NTDP).
